What you should know about SM Sentinel monitoring.
When do I have to pay?+
Only after successful connection and compatibility verification. The first annual service period starts when payment is credited.
What do I receive when something is wrong?+
A notification explaining which deviation SM Sentinel detected and when it became visible. Expert investigation or repair can be requested as a separate service.
Does anything need to be installed?+
SM Sentinel connects through a supported manufacturer data connection. We verify the required access and available data before payment.
Does SM Sentinel guarantee that there will be no production loss?+
It cannot prevent a fault. Regular checks and earlier notification can reduce the risk of a loss remaining unnoticed for weeks.
Does the calculator show an exact loss?+
It provides an indicative estimate based on your inputs. Expected annual production is allocated by season: 42% to summer, 50% to spring and autumn, and 8% to winter. Weather, orientation, shading and individual settlement terms affect the actual result.
Do I need to understand fault codes?+
No. The notification explains the detected condition in clear language. Expert analysis and diagnosis are separate services.
What data is preserved?+
Production, AC, DC, string, temperature, state, fault-code, communication and other operational data available through the manufacturer connection. Data availability varies by manufacturer and access level.
What does SLA mean?+
A response time calculated in business hours for starting investigation or action under a separate, active service framework agreement that authorises intervention. It is not a repair-completion deadline.
Is repair included in the price?+
The monitoring fee covers the checks, history, notifications and reports included in the plan. Site visits, labour, parts and repair require a separate order.
How is pricing calculated for multiple inverters?+
The first inverter is included in the base fee. The current surcharge for additional inverters is shown on the pricing page.
